Job Summary

An Employee Benefits Analyst is confident in providing analytical and detailed reporting for new and renewal Group Benefits clients. Responsibilities include assisting CapriCMW’s Group Benefits team to provide exceptional service by delivering on professional interactions, accurate proposals and continuously improving client relationships.

Essential Job Functions

  • Gather, analyze and process client data to present marketing, renewal and prospecting proposals for producers
  • Uncover process improvement opportunities to provide better service to the clients
  • Produce highly efficient proposals for prospects,  enrollments and renewals
  • Document processes and work with internal & external associates to ensure consistent format and content
  • Review renewal packages for accuracy
  • Conduct research as required
  • Ensure all employee information is accurately keyed, tracked, managed and stored in compliance with legislation and company operating policies and procedures
  • Attend training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
  • Use and understanding of CRM in daily operations
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education and additional benefit plans courses (such as CEBS) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in benefits and pension industry
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented; well-developed ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and to see beyond the numbers
  • Dedicated team player with the ability to take initiative; be independent with a  positive attitude and dedication to quality and accuracy
  • Must be a fast learner with a demonstrated ability to work in a self-managed manner, with an exceptional ability to meet hard deadlines while handling multiple tasks
  • Creative thinker with ideas that will drive efficiency and improve team performance
  • A good understanding of personal computers and software, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
