Commercial Client Executive (Penticton)

We provide general insurance services for commercial property, liability, professional and executive liability, construction and contract surety bonding, and auto. Our clients are B.C. based and often with international operations.  

Job Purpose 

The Client Executive works to exceed client expectations by collaboratively working with clients, insurance companies and the CapriCMW team.  He or she builds a client base by adding new clients through prospecting, new lines of coverage to existing clients, earning referral opportunities, retaining and growing current clients.  A Commercial Producer creates effective relationships, is a negotiator, presenter and positively motivated. He or she has the ability to use sales methodologies, tools and resources, service platform, and best practices to successfully manage business and financial risks for a growing client base. The role is responsible for the sales process, prospecting, finalizing, binding, renewals, collecting accounts receivable and understands risk management, financial, insurance coverage and underwriting.

This is a sales role, which reports to the Director of Business Development. 

Primary duties include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Relates to all people inside and outside of the organization; builds appropriate, constructive and effective relationships; ability to negotiate and diffuse high-tension situations comfortably
  • Maintains current and cultivates new relationships by executing client service plans and ensuring commitments are tracked in a unified and meaningful way to the client
  • Contributes in regular meetings with team to ensure you are up to date on all pending client issues, changing needs, implementing service plans, and other issues
  • Learns about the client industry, recognizes typical business problems faced by clients and how our service platform across all disciplines provides solutions to those issues
  • Uses the sales process to analyze client and prospective client exposures, coverage, program financials, claims and loss rates, and other aspects to uncover opportunities for improvement; recommends changes and puts forth a service plan the creates measurable value
  • Creates proposals for clients and prospective clients that demonstrates CapriCMW’s unique approach to mitigating business risk
  • Educates clients to ensure they understand their business risks and insurance coverage
  • CapriCMW Leader in the client and insurance industry through professional writing, speaking and networking engagements
  • Advocates for changes and additions to our service offering that increase value for our clients

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Ability to maximize efficiencies by leveraging technology, tools and resources
  • Self-guided learner & solves problems with real solutions
  • Level 2 license BC Broker License, CRM, CAIB or CIP
  • Minimum 5 years broker experience
  • Working knowledge of insurance document management software EPIC and Policy works
  • Skilled user of Microsoft office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
