Accounting Clerk Position

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate joining our Kelowna Hardy office will support the accounting team including monthly and year-end data/reporting preparation and data review for the CapriCMW Insurance Services consolidated and non-consolidated entities.

  • Year-end & audit working paper preparation assistance
  • Accounting function support, including AR and AP
  • Reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
  • Accounts receivable monitoring for specific accounts
  • Insurance carrier audit preparation assistance
  • Data review and analysis, including addressing issues identified
  • Assist with other special projects and support tasks

Qualifications

  • Completed financial accounting diploma or degree (preferred) AND 2 years related accounting experience with an understanding of the accounting cycle
  • CPA or desire to obtain CPA designationComputer Skills
    1. Proficient with MS Excel – advanced data analysis skills an advantage
    2. Ability to learn new systems quickly – we operate on industry specific software
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills – to be able to obtain information to make decisions in relation to identified issues and to be able to provide recommendations
  • Strong accounting technical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with a work hard, play hard attitude
