CapriCMW has been the Title Sponsor for the Canadian Downwind Championships since its inception in 2014 and we are proud and excited to be back again for the 5th year in a row!
On July 14, 2018 top paddlers from around the world will gather in beautiful Squamish, BC for a 21km race through the heart of the Sea to Sky Corridor. For the first time, the race has opened up to include standup paddleboards, prone paddleboards and outrigger canoes along with surfskis. With over 150 competing, this will be the biggest year yet!
Come support and cheer on these world-class athletes while taking in the amazing views of Squamish!
Beginning from Porteau Cove between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm (wind-dependent), the race will finish in downtown Squamish with a celebrating beginning at 4pm and awards ceremony at 5pm. from Porteau Cove and finish in downtown Squamish with a celebration and awards ceremony beginning at 5pm.
