Enhanced water coverage for your home.

You're eligible to add Ground Water coverage to your home insurance policy.

You can protect your home from damage caused by ground water.

Water damage is now the top cause of home insurance claims in Canada. It only takes a few centimetres of water to cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage to your home. Make sure your home is protected with Ground Water Coverage.

Many communities across BC were hit with severe flooding this spring. With extreme weather events on the rise year after year, it’s more important than ever before to be informed on what your home insurance does and doesn’t cover, and the options available to you for additional protection.

How water enters your home can determine whether or not the resulting damage is covered.

Are you covered?

You are not currently covered for damage resulting from water entering your home through the basement walls, foundation or floors, otherwise known as ground water.

Most standard home insurance policies contain specific exclusions for certain types of water damage. There are separate coverages you can add to your home insurance for those excluded scenarios. That’s why you purchased Overland Water coverage, to insure your home against water damage from spring runoff, heavy rains or overflow from lakes and rivers.

You can enhance your home's water protection today by adding Ground Water coverage.
